GAME RECAP

Glenn Robinson scored 32 points and Ray Allen added 23 as the Milwaukee Bucks held on for a 102-94 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, who remained winless at home.

Allen's jumper gave Milwaukee an 86-73 lead with 9:37 to play, but the Clippers rallied with a 14-4 run. Lamond Murray, who scored 25 points, highlighted the spurt with a pair of dunks and Eric Piatkowski's three-pointer pulled Los Angeles within 90-87 with 3:44 to go.

But the Clippers turned the ball over on their next three possessions and the Bucks scored the next five points on a free throw by Terrell Brandon, a jumper by Robinson and a dunk by Armon Gilliam. Loy Vaught answered with consecutive jumpers to cut the Clippers' deficit to 95-91, and teammate Darrick Martin had a chance to cut it two but missed a pair of foul shots.

Allen responded with a pair of free throws and the Bucks snapped a three-game losing streak against the Clippers, who fell to 0-4 at home.

"We were expecting to run, we just didn't know when," Allen said. "We just broke down at the end and stopped passing the ball as well as we can."

Gilliam added 15 points for Milwaukee (5-2), which is 1-1 on its four-game road trip and has scored at least 100 points in six of seven games this season.

Murray hit a turnaround jumper with 32 seconds to play, but Michael Curry, who scored 10 points, answered with a pair of free throws. After another Clipper turnover, Robinson, who had scored 31 points in each of the last two games, added a foul shot for a 100-93 lead with 22 seconds to go.

"Right now, it's going easy for me," Robinson said. "Terrell is delivering the ball to me and I have the hot hand right now. I was never really worried, I just wanted the ball."

Rodney Rogers scored 18 points and Martin added 17 for the Clippers, who had won three straight at home against Milwaukee. Brent Barry, the team's leading scorer coming into the game, was held to a season-low five points on 2-of-8 shooting.

"We have to play a complete game," Martin said. "Tonight we came back and played well."

"It is very frustrating right now but we have been fishing in troubled waters and if we could catch the big one it would help us out a lot," Clippers coach Bill Fitch said.

Robinson scored the first seven points of the second quarter, sparking a 15-3 run. His three-pointer built the Bucks' lead to 33-22 before Gilliam hit back-to-back inside buckets and Allen sank two free throws to cap the spurt with 6:21 left. Milwaukee limited the Clippers to 29 percent shooting in the second period and took a 58-40 halftime lead.

"We'll take the win, we played almost flawless basketball in the first half," Bucks coach Chris Ford said. "But with the Clippers, you expect them to come back. They just never gave up and caused quite a few miscues in the fourth. We were very fortunate enough to hold on."

The Clippers got back in it with a 15-4 run to open the third quarter. After Murray hit a layup and a tip-in to start the period, Martin drained a three-pointer and later capped the spurt with a driving layup to pull Los Angeles within 62-55 with 7:37 left. Murray scored 10 points in the period but the Clippers still trailed, 80-71, heading into the final frame.

"We have to play like we did tonight in the second half, but we have to do it the entire game," Murray said.

Allen scored 13 points and Robinson added 10 in the opening period, helping the Bucks to a 26-22 edge. Brandon helped snap a 22-22 tie late in the quarter when he fed Allen for a fast-break layup. He stole the ensuing inbounds pass and found Robinson for a driving layup in the final seconds of the period.

Clippers rookie forward Maurice Taylor missed the game due to a family emergency.
