GAME RECAP

Armon Gilliam scored eight of his 29 points in overtime as the Milwaukee Bucks snapped a nine-game road losing streak with a 94-89 victory over the slumping Golden State Warriors.

Michael Curry's dunk with 2:23 left in overtime snapped an 84-84 tie and put the Bucks ahead for good. After a Golden State turnover, Gilliam sank a pair of free throws with 66 seconds left for a four-point advantage.

Ray Allen made two foul shots to push the lead to 90-84 with 66 seconds left. Gilliam, who was 15-of-16 from the free throw line, sealed the win with four more foul shots in the final 25 seconds as he matched his season high in points. As a team, the Bucks made 28-of-31 attempts at the line.

Allen added 25 points and Ervin Johnson netted 17 and 15 rebounds for the Bucks, who won away from home for the first time since a 108-98 victory at Washington on February 18th.

"I thought that our guys played a hard game," Milwaukee coach Chris Ford said. "We have not posted a lot of wins but we're hanging tough."

Tony Delk scored 23 points to lead Golden State, which has lost three straight and 11 of its last 12 games.

The Warriors trailed 78-71 with 3:05 left in the fourth quarter before scoring five straight points. Clarence Weatherspoon sank a pair of free throws to start the spurt and Delk followed with a three-pointer to draw the Warriors within 78-76 with 2:06 to play.

Allen sank a pair of free throws to give the Bucks an 80-76 lead, but Delk, who scored 11 of his 23 points in the final period, sank a pair of free throws and he followed with a layup to tie it 80-80 with 27 seconds remaining.

Milwaukee turned the ball over on its ensuing possession, giving the Warriors a chance to win it in regulation, but Delk missed a jumper as time expired.

"Again, give them credit," Golden State coach P.J. Carlesimo said. "They forced the turnovers and we were too careless with the ball. We put ourselves in a position to win it, but then they steped it up in the overtime."

The Bucks trailed 51-50 midway through the third quarter before scoring nine straight points, capped by Gilliam's layup for their biggest lead at 59-51.

Donyell Marshall had 12 points and 16 rebounds and Weatherspoon added 12 boards for the Warriors, who held a 54-49 rebounding edge. Gilliam had 11 rebounds for the Bucks.

Each team struggled with its shooting. The Warriors shot 37 percent (32-of-87), while Milwaukee finished at 41 percent (35-of-86). Turnovers were also a problem as the Bucks committed 22 and Golden State had 21.
