Game StoryDALLAS (Ticker) -- Even with two days off to erase the memory of their worst performance of the season, the Los Angeles Clippers continued their march toward the worst start in NBA history.
Michael Finley had 20 points and nine assists and A.C. Green added 19 points and 12 rebounds as the Dallas Mavericks won for the fourth time in five games, 112-99 over the winless Clippers.
Los Angeles is 0-13 and four games shy of the NBA record for most consecutive losses to start a season, set in 1988 by the expansion Miami Heat -- who ended their skid against the Clippers. In 1994, the Clippers lost their first 16 games.
The Mavericks scored the final five points of the third quarter to take an 82-69 lead and held a double-digit advantage until the final seconds.
Maurice Taylor scored 18 points and Darrick Martin added 14 for the Clippers, who suffered an embarrassing 103-74 home loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. Los Angeles has lost its last three games by an average of 15 points.
Dallas improved to 5-2 after dropping eight of its first nine.
