Game StoryOAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- Terry Cummings scored 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets for the second time in four days, 85-79.
The Warriors led all the way, but Denver was able to close within 78-76 with 1:24 remaining after Cory Alexander drilled a jumper.
But Cummings answered with a shot from the baseline and, after the Nuggets came up empty on their ensuing possession, John Starks made two free throws to put the Warriors up 82-76 with 34 seconds to play.
Starks finished with 16 points as the Warriors recorded their third straight win, their longest streak since a four-game run from February 14-19.
Danny Fortson collected 20 points and 23 rebounds and Antonio McDyess had 29 and 12 for the Nuggets, who fell to 1-19 on the road.
