Game Story

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The top offensive team in the NBA reached a new high.

Chris Webber recorded his third triple-double of the season and the Sacramento Kings established their highest offensive output of the season with a 130-109 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

Webber finished with 22 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. He was also on fire from the floor, making 10-of-14 shots in 41 minutes.

"I was excited to get everyone involved in the game tonight and as long as we win, I don't care about the other things," Webber said. "It's up to coach about the lineup and I think the changes could bring some intensity to the team."

Sacramento, which came into the contest as the NBA's top offensive team at 105.5 points per game, surpassed its previous high of 128 against Houston on November 28.

Darrick Martin, who celebrated his 29th birthday tonight, had a lot to do with the Kings setting their new high. The reserve guard did not play the entire night before coming off the bench to score 11 points in the final 1:52. He hit a floating layup with 1.3 seconds to establish the new high.

Vlade Divac added 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings, who have rebounded to win three of their last four games following a four-game losing streak. They were coming off Saturday's overtime victory at defending champion San Antonio.

"I thought we did a terrific job, and Webb was terrific, he shared the ball, got everyone involved and got a triple-double," Sacramento coach Rick Adelman said.

Cedric Ceballos netted 27 points and Dirk Nowitzki 25 for Dallas, which has lost its last six visits to Sacramento and four in a row overall.

The Kings never trailed and opened a 16-4 advantage midway through the first quarter on 13-footer by Webber. Corliss Williamson scored 11 of his 15 points in the period as the lead grew to 38-20.

Sacramento shot a blistering 67 percent (16-of-24) in the opening 12 minutes. It finished at 54 percent (50-of-93) and managed a 50-40 rebounding advantage.

Webber had 14 points by halftime and Nick Anderson added 12 of his 17 for the Kings, who held a 59-47 advantage at the break. Ceballos kept the Mavs in the game by scoring 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting in the half. He went just 1-of-5 from the floor in the second half.

Anderson made 6-of-11 shots from the field and went 5-of-7 from 3-point range to lead the Kings' assault from behind the arc. Sacramento made 14-of-27 3-pointers while the Mavs went 9-of-20. The Kings also outscored the Mavs, 50-32, in the paint.

"This was a good old-fashioned western shootout, there wasn't much defense on either side," Dallas coach Don Nelson said. "When you give up 51 percent 3s and 50 points within the paint, you're not gonna win many games, especially on the road."

Dallas did get back into it, using a 13-2 burst to close to 75-70 with 5:28 left in the third quarter on a 3-pointer by Nowitzki.

But the Kings restored control and went ahead, 92-78, with 63 seconds left in the period on a pair of free throws by Divac. Sacramento led by double digits thereafter.

Dallas shot 47 percent (41-of-88).
