Game StorySACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- Using a pair of towels to form a makeshift pillow, Sacramento Kings forward Chris Webber got comfortable in front of his bench as his team cruised to a 130-107 rout of the Golden State Warriors.
Webber had 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out five assists as the Kings used a second-quarter run to put his former team away early, allowing the 6-10 forward to lay out for most the final period.
Vlade Divac had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Sacramento (44-34), which moved one game ahead of idle Seattle for seventh place in the Western Conference, improving their chances of avoiding the league-leading Los Angeles Lakers in the opening round of the playoffs. The Kings visit the Lakers at the Staples Center on Friday.
"That's a lot better than the last three games," Kings coach Rick Adelman said. "We really needed to get a win. Just talking to the team about Golden State, they're very short-handed and you know that no matter how they were going to play, they were gonna play. I'm just pleased to get the win with those last four to go, which are all going to be tough games."
Predrag Stojakovic scored 13 points and Corliss Williamson added 11 for the Kings, who had seven players in double figures en route to matching their season-high point total. Sacramento blew out Dallas 130-109 here on March 6.
"We have a tough game (Friday)," Sacramento forward Lawrence Funderburke said. "Hopefully we can play well."
Larry Hughes scored 35 points on 14-of-32 shooting for Golden State, which had a two-game winning streak stopped.
Tony Delk scored 12 points and Tyrone Corbin 10 for Sacramento, which shot 58 percent (46-of-80) and improved to 30-10 at Arco Arena.
"Anytime your main guys can get a good rest this late in the season it is good," Corbin said. "I think we are going into the playoffs feeling good about what we are doing."
Hughes' layup pulled Golden State within 47-43 with 5:23 left in the first half before the Kings blew open the game.
Delk hit a 15-footer and Divac made a driving dunk before Webber buried an 18-footer and fed Jason Williams for a layup that stretched the lead to 55-44 with 4:09 left.
Golden State's Sam Jacobson, who scored 17 of his career-high 19 points in the first half, hit a 19-footer before the onslaught continued.
"I felt real comfortable shooting the ball," Jacobson said. "My teammates did a real good job of penetrating and getting me an open look. That's basically one of my jobs on the team, to shoot the ball. They're a great ball team, they've got a deep bench and a lot of good players."
Corbin, Divac and Webber combined to make four free throws, Corbin had a layup and Divac buried two more from the line to give the Kings a 63-46 cushion 1:30 before the half. The Warriors did not seriously challenge thereafter.
Jason Caffey scored 11 points and Bill Curley added a season-high 10 off the bench for Golden State, which shot 42 percent (39-of-93) and committed 16 turnovers.
