Game Story

DALLAS (Ticker) -- Michael Finley's 3-pointer at the regulation buzzer forced overtime and Howard Eisley scored six straight points in the extra period to give the Dallas Mavericks a 115-106 victory over the Orlando Magic.

Eisley scored the final six points of overtime, including a clutch jumper with 31 seconds remaining -- his only basket of the game -- that gave the Mavericks a 111-106 lead. He added four free throws as Dallas climbed back from a 22-point deficit and snapped a four-game home losing streak.

It was the Mavericks' second come-from-behind victory in as many nights. On Wednesday in Charlotte, Eisley hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer as Dallas rallied from 16 down for a 91-90 victory.

Orlando had the game under control until Dallas began to foul. Magic guard Darrell Armstrong, a 90 percent foul shooter, was 3-of-7 from the line in the fourth quarter.

With Orlando up 99-96, he missed two with 5.8 seconds to play that would have sealed the game. After a Dallas timeout, Dirk Nowitzki found Finley, who unleashed a 24-footer from the right wing that rattled in to send the game to the extra period.

It was Nowitzki who passed to Eisley for Wednesday's winning shot. The German had career highs of 38 points and 17 rebounds.

Finley scored 21 points and Eisley eight on just 1-of-11 from the field.

Tracy McGrady scored 34 points and Armstrong had 19 and 12 assists for Orlando, which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Orlando went 12-for-21 from the line in the fourth quarter and did not make a basket in overtime until McGrady's jumper inched them within 103-101. That would be as close as they would get the rest of the way.

The Dallas Mavericks used a 15-5 run in the final 1:42 of play to come from behind and force overtime.

Nowitzki scored five and Loy Vaught four before Finley banked in a 30-footer from the left sideline with eight seconds to play to cut the deficit to 99-96.

The 22-point comeback is the second-largest in team history.
