Game Story

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- Peja Stojakovic led seven scorers in double figures with 24 points as the Sacramento Kings rolled to a 122-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Lawrence Funderburke posted season highs with 18 points and 12 rebounds while Bobby Jackson added 16 for Sacramento, which played its ninth straight game without leading scorer and rebounder Chris Webber. The Kings improved to 6-3 without their All-Star forward.

"We are six out of nine without Chris Webber and what it has really done is made everyone step their game up to a higher level," Sacramento coach Rick Adelman said. "We have done a lot without Chris in the lineup. I think it is really going to help us know the level they all have to play to go far in this league."

Stojakovic made 7-of-12 shots and 9-of-10 free throws as the Kings shot 52 percent (47-of-91). Vlade Divac scored 14 and Scot Pollard posted his seventh double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

"I am having a lot of fun with this team," Adelman said. "They are a great group of guys at practice, off the court and in games. It also helps when you are winning games."

Jackson's 3-pointer capped a 21-6 spurt that gave Sacramento a 56-42 lead with 4:19 left in the first half. Doug Christie's basket with four seconds to play gave the Kings a 64-55 lead at halftime.

Sacramento led 98-85 with 9:23 remaining before putting away the Warriors for good. The Kings scored nine straight points, capped by another 3-pointer by Jackson, for a 107-85 lead with seven minutes to go.

Doug Christie added 13 points and five steals while Jason Williams had 10 assists for Sacramento, which defeated Golden State for the sixth straight time.

"With my defense, the main thing is to just keep myself between my man and the basket," Christie said. "I always try to keep my hands active -- reaching for the ball and trying to touch it as much as I can."

Sacramento improved to 27-5 when scoring 100 points or more.

Antawn Jamison scored 36 points with 12 rebounds for Golden State, which failed in its quest to win consecutive games for the first time since January 18-21. Bob Sura scored 15 and Larry Hughes added 14 for the Warriors, who have dropped nine of 10.

"For them not to have their superstar, they seemed to play better without him," Jamison said. "They did an excellent job passing the ball. Vlade's probably one of the best passers, not just as a big man, but as a basketball player."

Vonteego Cummings scored 10 points off the bench for Golden State, which dropped its fourth straight game at home. The Warriors shot 46 percent (45-of-99) and committed 18 turnovers, which led to 25 points by the Kings.

The Kings picked up their 15th road victory, their highest total since moving to Sacramento.
