Game Story

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Antawn Jamison was shut out and the Golden State Warriors were blown out.

Jamison, the NBA's eighth-leading scorer, was held without a point as the reeling Warriors were trampled by the Los Angeles Lakers, 110-95.

Jamison averages 25.2 points per game and won a duel with Kobe Bryant when these teams last met in December. Both players scored a career-high 51 points, but Jamison led Golden State to a 125-122 overtime victory.

The Lakers clearly remembered that and clamped down on Jamison, who had led the Warriors in scoring in 12 of the last 13 games but was 0-of-9 from the field.

While forwards Horace Grant and Rick Fox frustrated Jamison, Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant wasted no time putting away the Warriors. O'Neal scored 11 points and Bryant 10 in the first quarter, when the Lakers scored a season-high 43 points and bolted to a 30-point lead.

O'Neal finished with 26 points and Bryant added 22 before the All-Stars took a seat early in the fourth quarter. The Lakers (39-19) have won six of their last seven games and moved into a tie with San Antonio for third place in the powerful Western Conference, where the top five teams are separated by one loss.

Rookie Marc Jackson scored 22 points for the Warriors, who have lost three in a row, 11 of 12 and 16 of 18 since January 25. At 16-44, they have the worst record in the West.
