Game Story

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Jeff McInnis recorded his first career triple-double with 21 points, a career-best 12 rebounds and 11 assists as the Los Angeles Clippers routed the Golden State Warriors, 94-76, for their first victory in two years without Lamar Odom.

In a game between the two worst teams in the Pacific Division, McInnis eclipsed 20 points for the third time in his last four games and the Clippers snapped a three-game losing streak.

"I'm happy about the triple-double," McInnis said. "I'm really happy about the win. I think tonight I established myself more by passing the ball and scoring early by going inside to Corey (Maggette). Triple-doubles are great because we got a win. It's my first one ever and I really thought I'd never get it because the rebounding seems so hard."

Los Angeles had not won since Odom, the team's leading scorer, was suspended five games for violating the NBA's substance abuse policy.

"We've been struggling without Lamar," McInnis said. "We finally got our team rolling. Even though we have lost three games on the road trip, we are jelling as a team and our chemistry is great. Thus, we are having fun on the court and winning games."

Maggette had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Eric Piatkowski contributed 14 points for the Clippers, who have won three in a row and six of their last seven at home.

"Overall we played great," Los Angeles coach Alvin Gentry said. "I thought Corey was terrific. I thought Jeff was terrific. I just thought it was a good game for us all around. The difference was that we did it on the defensive end."

Antawn Jamison had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Adonal Foyle added 14 and 10 as Golden State suffered its season-high ninth consecutive loss. The Warriors have lost 17 of their last 18 overall and 14 of 15 on the road.

"The Clippers played hard tonight," Golden State center Erick Dampier said. "We just didn't come out and match their intensity. It was hard for us to play catch-up. With a lot of our guys out, we just couldn't catch up."

Golden State took its last lead, 10-9, on rookie Chris Porter's dunk with 7:01 left in the first quarter. But the Clippers followed with a 15-2 run to build a 24-12 advantage as Michael Olowokandi had a steal and a jumper with 2:26 remaining.

McInnis scored eight points in the second quarter as Los Angeles maintained a double-digit lead throughout.

The Clippers took their largest lead in the fourth period as rookie Darius Miles' running dunk put them ahead, 90-64, with 5:20 remaining.

"I thought we played well from start to finish," Gentry said. "There was never really a time ... just a couple of possessions here and there, but I thought overall we played really hard and I thought we played well defensively. I thought that was the key to the game. Most of our baskets we got by running out after making stops."

Miles and Keyon Dooling scored 13 points apiece for Los Angeles, which shot 49 percent (34-for-70) from the field and scored 18 fast-break points.

Porter had 11 points and Bob Sura chipped in with nine, nine rebounds and eight assists for the Warriors, who shot 33 percent (32-for-98). They outscored the Clippers in points in the paint, 46-36, and second-chance points, 16-2.
