Game Story

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Austin Croshere led seven scorers in double figures with 19 points and the Indiana Pacers reeled off 13 straight points down the stretch to defeat the Golden State Warriors, 115-101.

The Pacers (32-32) completed a sweep of the season series and moved a game ahead of Charlotte and 2 1/2 in front of Toronto for the seventh playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Jonathan Bender added 17 points, Jamaal Tinsley scored 15 and Reggie Miller and Jermaine O'Neal chipped in 14 apiece for Indiana. The Pacers also got 13 from Ron Artest and 10 from Brad Miller en route to their third straight home win.

"You want to have six, seven guys in double figures," Indiana coach Isiah Thomas said. "You want a complete game from everybody. When you're playing that type of game offensively, you're hard to stop."

Artest scored five points and Tinsley four in the decisive burst, which gave the Pacers a 115-98 cushion with 76 seconds left.

"We have to continue on this track," Tinsley said. "We can't wait, there is no tomorrow."

Antawn Jamison collected 25 points and Danny Fortson netted 20 and 20 rebounds as the Warriors ended a 1-5 road trip with their third consecutive loss.

"Consistency has been a problem all year, I can't explain it, I don't know how it happens," Fortson said. "I think maybe our attention span is a little short."

After the Warriors fell behind at halftime, 65-51, Jamison led his team back with a 16-point third quarter, which got Golden State within 92-86.

The Warriors continued to chip away, slicing the deficit to 102-98 on Bob Sura's basket with 5:27 remaining.

But Indiana squelched the comeback as O'Neal made two free throws and Tinsley and Miller sank buckets. Artest hit a pair from the line and Tinsley followed with a jumper before Artest capped the burst with a 3-pointer.

"We just shot ourselves in the foot. That's something that's been going on all season," said Jamison, whose team lost for the 18th time in their last 21 games. "We get down 15 or 20 early then we can make it a reasonable game of four or five points, and then we turn the ball over and get careless with it."

The Pacers, who avenged last season's series sweep at the hands of the Warriors, shot 48 percent (44-of-91) from the field and made 21-of-24 free throws.

Jason Richardson scored 19 points and Gilbert Arenas added 15 for Golden State, which shot 44 percent (38-of-87) and held a 47-37 rebounding advantage.
