Game Story

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Bucks found the Orlando Magic much easier to push around without Tracy McGrady in their way.

Glenn Robinson scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Bucks crushed the Magic, 110-85, ending a four-game losing streak and improving their playoff standing in the Eastern Conference.

"This was a big game for us today," said Robinson, who went 10-of-13 from the floor two days after missing a loss to New Jersey with a bruised tailbone. "We just needed to get a 'W' today."

"Glenn was great tonight, he had a great rhythm all night long," Milwaukee coach George Karl said.

Sam Cassell netted 21 points and seven assists and Michael Redd continued to sparkle with 20 points for the Bucks (37-31), who are one-half game ahead of fifth-place Orlando (37-32) in the East. Redd, averaging 11 points per game off the bench, is scoring at a 14.4 clip over the past five games.

McGrady torched the Bucks for 48 points in the Magic's 101-91 win Tuesday but was out after injuring his back Friday against Charlotte. Coach Doc Rivers said he expects McGrady back for Tuesday's contest against Chicago.

"It (playing without McGrady) speaks volumes," Rivers said. "Not having Tracy does a lot for us -- none of it good."

Darrell Armstrong scored 17 points and Monty Williams chipped in 16 for the Magic, who suffered their eighth straight loss at Milwaukee.

"We just didn't have enough numbers and scorers, really," Rivers said. "I thought the first half we had some mental breakdowns and, eventually, the dam just broke."

The Bucks charged out in front of the sluggish Magic early, taking a 13-2 lead on Joel Przybilla's dunk just 3:18 into the game and holding a 31-19 advantage after one.

Orlando managed a run after Robinson's free throw gave the Bucks a 35-19 lead with 10:19 left. Williams scored five points to pace an 11-0 spurt, but the Bucks scored 19 of the next 26 points to rebuild their double-digit cushion.

Ray Allen scored 13 points and reserve Greg Anthony added 12 for Milwaukee, which won for just the second time in its last eight games to move a game behind third-place Boston.

The Bucks shot 52 percent (44-of-84) from the field and hit on 8-of-16 from behind the arc. They outrebounded the Magic, 51-39, and led by as many as 27 points.

Andrew DeClercq collected 11 points and 10 rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench as Orlando made just 37 percent (29-of-79) of its shots.

"It's not just taking our points away, but it's the guy who runs the offense," explained Orlando starting forward Pat Garrity, who was held to eight points on 3-of-11 shooting. "We miss the shots he creates for other people."

The Magic trailed at halftime, 57-44, and got no closer than 12 points in the second half.
