Game StoryOAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- Antawn Jamison scored 25 points and Troy Murphy added 17 and 13 rebounds as the Golden State Warriors never trailed but barely held on for a 100-94 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Gilbert Arenas collected 16 points and 11 assists and Adonal Foyle contributed 10 points, nine boards and a season-high eight blocked shots came off the bench as the Warriors registered their fourth straight home win over the Bulls. Murphy, who notched just three double-doubles last season, recorded his fourth in a row as Golden State improved to 2-1 on a five-game homestand. "It was important," Jamison said. "We didn't dwell on what happened with (our 135-92 win over) Orlando and we didn't come out the way we needed to (in a loss) against the Clippers. So for us to respond the way we did was good. "But it's just a win. It's nothing to get too excited about. We know we still have a long way to go and we just got to continue to work." Jalen Rose collected 26 of his season-high 34 points in the second half, hitting a jumper with 2:15 left that pulled the Bulls within 96-94. But Rose committed his sixth turnover, dribbling the ball off his foot and out of bounds with 16 seconds to play, and Chicago dropped its sixth straight road contest. "We didn't come out the way we finished. If we'd come out that way, it'd probably be a different story," Bulls coach Bill Cartwright said. "I thought that we had stops at times. We did a good job defensively, turned it over and gave it right back. I really feel we really beat ourselves tonight." Murphy hit a short jumper with 4:56 to go in the third quarter to give the Warriors their biggest lead, 72-55. Jamison, who has scored at least 20 points in 12 of 13 games this season, made a basket with just under 10 minutes left as Golden State still owned an 87-73 advantage. But Chicago ran off 15 of the next 20 points. Former Warrior Donyell Marshall capped the burst, converting a layup with 4:28 to play that made it 92-88. Rose sank a pair of free throws before nailing his third 3-pointer of the game to trim the Bulls' deficit to two. "Jalen did a terrific job of playing his type of basketball," Jamison said. "We cannot let a guy get into a comfort zone like that, and he got into a comfort zone and really started to feel it. He single-handedly brought them back." Rose had the ball with 41 seconds left but failed to work out of a double-team. Jamison stole the ball and flipped the outlet pass to Arenas, who made a layup to increase the Warriors' lead to 98-94. Foyle followed with his eighth block, rejecting a shot by rookie Jay Williams. "Adonal did a great job of clogging the lane tonight," Golden State coach Eric Musselman said. "We tried to feed guys baseline and Adonal did a good of coming over and being our weak-side defender."
