Game StoryCLEVELAND (Ticker) -- In what the Cleveland Cavaliers hope is the final game in their pre-LeBron James era, they defeated the Toronto Raptors, 96-86. Rookie Smush Parker scored 17 points and Tierre Brown added a career high-tying 16 for the Cavaliers, who capped their season at 17-65. The Cavs and Denver Nuggets tied for the worst record in the league and each have a 22.5 percent chance of landing the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, where the prized catch is Ohio native James, the most-hyped high school player in years. Darius Miles added 15 points for the Cavs, who took the lead for good, 38-37, on a layup by Zydrunas Ilgauskas with 5:05 left in the first half. Cleveland led 50-43 at the break, 72-65 entering the fourth quarter and by at least four points down the stretch. Rafer Alston scored 23 points to pace Toronto, which lost its last eight games to finish an injury-riddled season at 24-58. Toronto's Lenny Wilkens, who holds the NBA records for career wins and losses, may have coached his final games for the team. "We'll find out real soon (what will happen)," Wilkens said. "We'll deal with that when it comes to it." "If that is the case, I feel fortunate to have played for coach Wilkens," said Raptors forward Jerome Williams, who scored 13 points. "Most coaches (in this situation) would have caved and started ripping all of the players." The Raptors, who set an NBA record for man-games lost to injury, once again dressed the league-minimum eight players and used only seven. "That just tells you about the year," Wilkens said. "We never had 12 guys all season and that's all we've had lately (seven players)." Cleveland played without leading scorer Ricky Davis, who sprained his right ankle in a loss at Detroit on Monday. "We didn't have the life that Ricky brings," Cleveland coach Keith Smart said. "He brings a tremendous amount of energy." Smart took over the team in mid-season after John Lucas was fired. It is uncertain whether the Cavs will retain him. "Maybe I shouldn't be judged on how well we played or how many basketball games we won, but that I can run a basketball team," Smart said. The Cavs unveiled new colors, uniforms and a team logo in a halftime ceremony that featured former stars Austin Carr, Nate Thurmond, Bingo Smith, Larry Nance and Mark Price. "We are definitely excited about next season," said rookie forward Carlos Boozer, who contributed 13 points and eight rebounds. "I think we all learned a lot this year. We were all pretty young." "It's been an unusual year to say the least," said Cavs center Chris Mihm, who had nine points and nine rebounds. "But I have to give it to the guys for sticking with it, playing hard and closing this out on a positive note."
