Game StoryBOSTON (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers' futility on the road continues. The Cavaliers suffered their 27th straight road loss, a 91-82 setback to the Boston Celtics, who got 19 points from Paul Pierce. Cleveland has lost all six of its road games this season and has not won away from home since January 12 at Seattle. The Cavaliers lost both their games at FleetCenter last season, when they were 3-38 away from home. "We have a young team that hasn't learned how to win on the road yet," Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas said. "Last year really doesn't have anything to do with this year. But we're going to be frustrated until we win a game (on the road)." The Sacramento Kings hold the NBA record for consecutive regular-season road losses with 43 from from November 21, 1990-November 22, 1991. "Winning on the road is tough because of the travel and because of the different conditions," Cavaliers forward Darius Miles said. "The fans are louder and they are not with you. We have to get one under our belt and then things will start to change." Eric Williams added 17 points of the bench, Tony Battie had 15 and Vin Baker contributed 13 and 11 rebounds for the first-place Celtics. "I thought we did a lot of nice things in grinding out this win," Celtics coach Jim O'Brien said. "I was very pleased with our low turnovers (9). I think in the first half we really moved the basketball well and got great looks." Ilgauskas led Cleveland with 22 points and Miles added 12. Rookie phenom LeBron James, Ricky Davis and Chris Mihm each had 10 points. Davis' jumper gave the Cavaliers a 20-19 lead with 3:27 left in the first quarter. But Pierce responded with a jumper nearly 40 seconds later to put Boston ahead for good. James made one of two free throws to cut the deficit to 77-72 with 7:15 left, but Boston responded with a 14-6 spurt. The top overall in the 2003 draft, the 18-year-old James made just 3-of-12 shots. However, Williams was still impressed with James' performance. "It was an off shooting night," James said. "You've got to bring something and we didn't have it tonight. It's a long season. Of course, I don't like not winning but it's too soon to be worried about losing." "I love that kid," Williams said. "I love his attitude and his approach to the game. He is so mature in the way he handles himself on the court."
