Game StorySAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- Rasho Nesterovic is rolling, and so are the San Antonio Spurs. Nesterovic had another solid game with 17 points and nine rebounds as the Spurs cruised to their season-high fourth straight win, a 102-77 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Signed as a free agent during the offseason to take the spot of the irreplaceable David Robinson, Nesterovic has overcome a slow start to find a rhythm. The 7-footer made 8-of-14 shots as he continued his solid play alongside two-time MVP Tim Duncan. The defending NBA champion Spurs have erased the memory of a four-game slide with their winning streak, their longest since taking 11 in a row from March 23-April 11. Nesterovic has fueled the run, averaging 16.8 points and 9.3 rebounds. "This has definitely been a learning process for me through these 20-plus games and getting to know these guys, and yes, I am feeling a little bit more comfortable out there on the floor," Nesterovic said. "There's been that transition stage for me and hopefully it'll continue." "He's improved since day one," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "He stays and works hard after practice. He's getting better all the time." Duncan had 18 points and 14 boards for San Antonio, which never trailed, shot 49 percent (40-of-81) and committed just eight turnovers. "It's great when you've got a guy like Tim Duncan out there on the floor, playing on your team," Nesterovic said. "His presence has allowed me some great looks at the basket and I've been fortunate to play well the past few nights." "We're confident, but we're still building," Duncan said. "We know we aren't peaking, but we are getting better and playing with a lot more confidence than we were. We are stepping up and shooting the ball a lot better." Rasheed Wallace scored 23 points and Zach Randolph added 22 for the Trail Blazers, who fell to 0-8 on the road. Portland and Cleveland are the NBA's only winless road teams. "Somebody that's worse than we are (on the road), I don't know," said Portland coach Maurice Cheeks. "We've just got to keep fighting." Duncan scored 10 points and Nesetrovic eight in the first quarter as San Antonio sped to a 29-18 lead. The Spurs held a 47-36 halftime advantage and led by double digits for all but 15 seconds of the second half. "We had a chance, getting it to nine points with the ball out of bounds (early in the fourth quarter)," Cheeks said. "We threw it away and they came down and got a basket and pretty much steamrolled after that." Duncan found Jason Hart for a pair of layups and Robert Horry made a 3-pointer, rebuilding the lead to 78-62 with 9:26 remaining. The Spurs led by as many as 27 points and held the Trail Blazers to 33 percent (29-of-88) shooting.
