Game StoryHOUSTON (Ticker) -- To bury the Houston Rockets, Al Harrington and the Indiana Pacers showed why they are one of the NBA's most fundamentally sound teams. Harrington's dunk with 36 seconds left sealed the Pacers' 79-71 victory over the Rockets, whose furious comeback attempt fell short. After Houston used an 9-0 run to get within 75-69 with 54 seconds left, Indiana moved the ball all over the court to prevent the Rockets from fouling. Harrington finally got open for the clinching dunk. "They were double-teaming and we did a good job of our post guys sharing the ball," said Rockets guard Anthony Johnson, who delivered the pass to Harrington for one of his three assists. The Pacers had 20 assists, including five from Ron Artest, against 11 turnovers. "When you get 20 assists on 28 field goals, you're really moving the ball," Indiana coach Rick Carlisle said. "(Johnson) did a great job tonight." Artest and Jermaine O'Neal scored 21 points apiece for the Pacers, who led by as many as 15 in the fourth quarter. "We had been holding the ball in the post too long, holding the ball on the perimeter too long," O'Neal said. "Credit a lot to practice." The Pacres fell behind quickly, giving up the game's first six points, but went on a 15-1 run and never trailed again. "When I got the ball, it was hard to catch it," Houston center Yao Ming said through an interpreter. "They were constantly pressuring me and trying to get the ball out of my hands." Yao managed 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. The Pacers overcame 38 percent (28-of-74) shooting and snapped a three-game road losing streak. Steve Francis scored 23 points to lead the Rockets, who have lost five of their last seven games. "We struggle against the best defenses," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "We had a night where we missed some makeable shots that I would like to see us give a better chance on by passing the ball more on target." Cuttino Mobley shot just 2-of-13 from the field and was booed by the crowd at the Toyota Center.
