Game StorySALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Raja Bell showed his former teammates one of the many things they are missing. Bell came off the bench to score 12 of his 16 points on 3-pointers as the hot-shooting Utah Jazz grabbed an early lead and held on for a 106-97 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, who have lost a season-high three straight games. A former 76er, Bell made 4-of-6 shots from the arc, boosting his season mark to .496 (28-of-57), fourth in the league. All four 3-pointers helped put away Philadelphia and gave Utah a sweep of the season series. "It's a little sweeter against Philly, I won't lie," Bell said. "But on this team, we want to beat everybody and we've got to treat it like any other team." "Raja has played well off the bench for us and made some big shots," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. Carlos Arroyo and former Sixer Matt Harpring each scored 19 points for the Jazz, who shot 56 percent (40-of-72) from the field and improved to 13-3 at home. Arroyo made 8-of-12 shots and handed out seven assists as he teamed with fellow point guard Raul Lopez to run the offense with precision. Lopez, a rookie, scored 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting and added a season-high 10 assists. "We have a strength at point guard," Arroyo said. "Both of us can go in every night and play well and put up numbers. But I don't look at it like that. Whatever I do, I leave it on the court and manage myself on the court and try to help the team." Glenn Robinson scored 25 points and Eric Snow added 22 and 10 assists for the Sixers, who fell to 4-6 without NBA leading scorer Allen Iverson. Philadelphia also was without swingman Aaron McKie, who has a strained left hamstring. The Sixers got off to another of the slow starts that have plagued them all season, regardless of their available personnel. "First, we've got to get out there and get looser than we have lately," Robinson said. "Second, we've got to make the beginning of the game a big emphasis. We've got to go out and get off to a good start." Bell was a deep reserve on the 2000-01 76ers and saw key minutes in the NBA Finals, when the team was about as banged up as it is now. In the second quarter, he put more of a hurt on his former team. Bell made consecutive 3-pointers to give Utah a 44-34 lead with 3:55 left. He added one in the final minute, helping push the advantage to 56-44 at halftime. "I love to beat them," said Bell, who spent last season with Dallas. "I'm actually 4-0 against them since I left." Utah held an 81-71 lead entering the final period, and Philadelphia got no closer than seven points thereafter. Bell's fourth 3-pointer made it 102-90 with 2:32 remaining. "We've got to learn how to really stay focused at the end of games," Bell said. "Against good teams and teams that are healthy, we are not going to get away with that."
