Game StorySALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Antoine Walker's last-second magic ran out, and so did the Dallas Mavericks' winning streak. Less than 24 hours after making a game-winning shot at the buzzer, Walker missed a 3-pointer that would have forced overtime, ending the Mavericks' streak at nine games with a 91-88 loss to the Utah Jazz. Walker gave Dallas a victory in Seattle on Tuesday, sinking an off-balance jumper from the left baseline as time ran out. It was the ninth straight victory for the Mavericks, who had their longest winning streak since opening last season with 14 wins. In this one, Dallas trailed, 91-88, on its final possession when Michael Finley missed a 3-pointer. The rebound was tipped to Walker, who launched an open 3-pointer from the top of the circle that hit the front of the rim, bounced off the backboard and nearly went in as time ran out. "It felt good leaving my hands," Walker said. "Mike's shot went in and out, and then my shot went in and out. We couldn't ask for anything more than that." It was a fitting ending to a tough game game for Walker, who managed just six points on 3-of-10 shooting and missed all four of his 3-pointers. "I had seen the end of the Seattle game last night, so when it started bouncing I thought it was going in," Jazz guard and former Maverick Raja Bell said. "They missed it and now I am going to talk a little trash - all friendly - to anyone who will listen." The Jazz took the lead for good with a 14-4 late run. Andrei Kirilenko and Carlos Arroyo capped the spurt with back-to-back layups for an 87-84 edge with 67 seconds left. "The best thing was the concentration at the end," Kirilenko said. "Everybody was like fighting dogs in the end. I like that." Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki answered with a pair of free throws, but DeShawn Stevenson sank an off-balance jumper for Utah with 38 seconds remaining. The Mavericks halved the deficit again with 16 seconds to go, when Shawn Bradley had a dunk after catching a behind-the-back pass from Steve Nash. Dallas was forced to foul and Bell made two free throws, setting up the final play. Kirilenko had 23 points and 10 rebounds and Bell scored 18 points for the Jazz, who have won consecutive games following a season-high five-game losing streak. Greg Ostertag collected 12 points and 11 rebounds and Michael Ruffin grabbed 11 boards as the Utah held an overwhelming 45-24 edge on the glass. The Jazz scored 15 points off 17 offensive rebounds while the Mavericks recovered only four of their misses. "That was one of our main goals, to come in here and try to outrebound this team," Dallas forward Antawn Jamison said. "They just outworked us and outhustled us and is really showed." Finley scored 29 points and Nowitzki added 17 as Dallas lost for the first time in its last six road games.
