Game StoryMILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Rookie sensations LeBron James and T.J. Ford met for the first time. James might want a do-over. James missed all six of his shots and three free throws in the fourth quarter as the Cleveland Cavaliers suffered a 101-95 loss to Ford and the Milwaukee Bucks, who remained hot at home. James and the Cavaliers could not buy a bucket in the final period. The top overall pick in the draft, James was 0-of-6 and Cleveland 5-of-22 in the final 12 minutes. He sat for a good portion of the second quarter with three fouls. "Off night. Everybody has them," James said. "I always come back strong the next time. Everybody misses shots; I did tonight." "It was a big win for us," Milwaukee coach Terry Porter said. "We want to take care of the job at home. We did a great job on LeBron early, got him into foul trouble. We tried to stay on him and make sure he couldn't get into the flow. It was a good team effort." The eighth overall pick, Ford had 10 points, 10 assists and five rebounds as he helped the Bucks run their home record to 19-5, best in the Eastern conference. "The fans are pretty good at noticing when we're playing well and doing the right things," Milwaukee center Brian Skinner said. Reserves scored Milwaukee's first 11 points in the final quarter. Desmond Mason led the bench with 12 points. "I thought we lost our poise a little bit down the stretch," Cleveland coach Paul Silas said. "That was our undoing, our lack of offensive execution at the end." Cleveland trailed, 96-91, when James drew a foul from Mason attempting a 3-pointer. But he missed all three free throws. The 5-10 Ford grabbed the rebound, drew a foul and sank two from the line to put away the game. "They just didn't go in for me," said James. "I will get more opportunities like that and make sure I knock them down." James scored 20 points on 7-of-25 shooting and Carlos Boozer added 19 for Cleveland, which dropped to 4-20 on the road. Michael Redd led six players in double figures for Milwaukee with 24 points. "(Redd) came through, he made big shots," Silas said. "A couple of times we lost him in transition and he made big threes." Milwaukee begins a three-game road trip Saturday night in Atlanta before returning to the Bradley Center on February 7. It is 7-15 away from home.
