Game StoryMEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Pau Gasol and Lorenzen Wright scored 18 points apiece as the Memphis Grizzlies snapped a three-game losing streak with a 106-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors. After the Warriors cut a nine-point deficit to 100-97 following Cliff Robinson's 3-pointer with 1:13 left, Gasol scored four points in the final minute. His baseline drive with 55 seconds to go made it a five-point game and, after Speedy Claxton hit a 3-pointer for the Warriors, Gasol clinched the win with two free throws that gave the Grizzlies a 104-100 lead with 12 seconds remaining. "We wanted it bad," Wright said. "This was a team we figured we could beat. We just wanted to fight to the end and continue to play together." Gasol was fouled by Robinson on a fallaway jumper, a call Golden State coach Eric Musselman disputed. "You (media) guys go ahead and take a look at it and let me know what you saw," he said when asked about Robinson's foul. "I'm not going to comment on the officiating. I never have and I never will." Jason Richardson scored 19 points and Robinson added 17 for the Warriors, who welcomed back Nick Van Exel to the lineup but were unable to match a season-high four-game winning streak despite placing six players in double figures. Van Exel scored four points in 14 minutes of the bench, making 1-of-4 shots from the field. Golden State took its last lead, 89-87, on Brian Cardinal's jumper with 7:23 left. But the Grizzlies responded with a 13-2 spurt as the Warriors shot just 28 percent in the fourth quarter (7-of-25). "We were not very pretty for three quarters," Memphis coach Hubie Brown said. "We had a ton of turnovers and we were not guarding the way can we can. We finally started to defend in the fourth quarter." Memphis shot 78 percent (14-of-18) in a 35-point second quarter to open a 61-56 halftime lead. After Wright's basket made it 65-58 early in the third, the Warriors ripped off a 21-5 run to take a 79-70 lead on Richardson's two free throws with 1:53 left in the quarter. "We couldn't close it out," said Golden State center Erick Dampier, who added 15 points. "We had opportunities. They just had it going in the fourth." The Grizzlies took the lead for good, 90-89, on Shane Battier's jumper with 6:28 remaining. Bonzi Wells' layup capped the spurt and made it 100-91 with 2:31 to play. "We've been struggling for the last few games and we've got to get everybody on the same page and push ourselves hard," Gasol said. "That's the only way to get out of a bad streak." Battier added 13 points off the bench for the Grizzlies, who shot just under 51 percent (40-of-79). Golden State finished at just under 46 percent (37-of-81). "We don't play well in the 80s," Battier said. "We need to play in the 95-100 point range."
