Game StorySEATTLE (Ticker) -- The Seattle Supersonics finally earned a quality home win and it came at the expense of the Toronto Raptors, who had been playing well on the road. All-Stars Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis combined for 45 points, leading the SuperSonics to just their second home win in six games, 94-74 over the Raptors. "I'll take any win, it doesn't matter as long as the team wins," Allen said. "It looked easy, but it's never easy. You've got to lay the groundwork during the game." Rookie Luke Ridnour had eight points and a career-high eight assists for Seattle, which had lost seven of its previous nine contests. The game was decided in the second quarter, when the SuperSonics turned a one-point deficit into a 45-32 lead. Allen scored eight of his 23 points during a 20-6 run that spanned five minutes. Toronto got no closer than 10 points thereafter. "Luke really opened the game up for us in the second quarter, pushing the ball, creating offense for himself and for the team in transition," Seattle coach Nate McMillan said. "That was the difference in the ballgame. When he got in there, the pace picked up and he made some plays." "We need as many wins as possible," Lewis added. "We're trying to get into the playoffs the second half of the season. Every team is going to be ready because they're playing for playoff position." Alvin Williams led the Raptors with 20 points, but All-Star Vince Carter had 19 on 8-of-21 shooting. Toronto had won three straight on the road and four of five overall. "They hit shots, plain and simple," Carter said. "Their transition offense was solid, and that got them going, especially Luke Ridnour in the second quarter, but it's over now. We have to go home, enjoy the break and come back and make up for this game." "We didn't have enough fight in us tonight to get back," Toronto coach Kevin O'Neill added. "This team was wanting to win. They had lost four of five at home and we didn't expend the necessary energy to win." Rookie Chris Bosh returned to the lineup for the Raptors but was held scoreless in 14 minutes. He missed three games with a sprained left ankle.
