Game StoryCLEVELAND (Ticker) -- In the final minute, it was the Cleveland Cavaliers who looked like a veteran team and the San Antonio Spurs who made novice mistakes. Rookie LeBron James had 32 points and 11 rebounds and Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 16 and 12 as the Cavaliers came up huge down the stretch en route to an 89-87 victory over the Spurs. San Antonio is one of the most efficient, composed teams in the NBA but committed a pair of costly turnovers in the final 20 seconds to throw away a winnable game. The Spurs had a six-game winning streak snapped after wasting their final three possessions. The teams traded the lead nine times in the fourth quarter before Ilgauskas sank a hook shot over All-Star Tim Duncan to put Cleveland ahead for good, 88-87, with 37 seconds to play. Spurs forward Malik Rose, anticipating a backdoor cut from Tony Parker, made an errant bounce pass out of bounds with 20 seconds left. San Antonio was forced to foul and Cleveland's Dajuan Wagner split two free throws for an 89-87 edge. "They had been picking us apart with the pick-and-roll and we were getting mixed up on the double screens," Cavaliers guard Jeff McInnis said. "We adjusted to that. Once we started that a couple times, we (forced) some key turnovers." The Spurs faltered again when Manu Ginobili made a wild pass to Hedo Turkoglu in the right corner that sailed out of bounds with 2.8 seconds left. Ginobili stole the ensuing inbounds pass but could not get off a shot before time expired. "We just made mistakes," Duncan said. "It's unfortunate it happens in that situation, teammates misreading each other and passes kind of going all over the place. It was nobody's fault in particular, it just kind of happened." Jeff McInnis made a pair of clutch baskets down the stretch, scoring seven of his 15 points in the fourth quarter to go with nine assists as the Cavaliers won for just the second time in seven games. "Jeff is coming around. He's getting his game on," Cleveland coach Paul Silas said. "It takes time. The big shots he hit down the stretch were just unbelievable. He's capable of that." Duncan collected 21 points and 12 rebounds but made just 9-of-28 shots against Ilgauskas as the Spurs shot 39 percent (35-of-91). "All of it was not being in a rhythm," Duncan said. "I got every shot I wanted wide open, I just couldn't make a shot. (Ilgauskas) did a great job. He stayed in front of me and I couldn't make my shots, so it was excellent defense." Ginobili had 21 points and Tony Parker added 15 as San Antonio fell to 5-1 on a season-high seven-game road trip. The Spurs had a 78-70 cushion with 6:14 remaining, but the Cavaliers scored 10 of the next 11 points. McInnis sparked the burst with a 3-pointer and James capped it with a three-point play with 3:37 left to give Cleveland an 80-79 edge. The lead changed hands six times in a 1:45 span before Cavaliers center Tony Battie missed a jumper with 77 seconds left. Ilgauskas beat Duncan to the rebound and put in a hook shot for the decisive basket.
