Game StoryORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Tracy McGrady made sure the game got to overtime. Once there, LeBron James took over. James scored six straight points in the extra session as the Cleveland Cavaliers recovered from squandering a big lead to post a 112-107 victory over the Orlando Magic. McGrady, the NBA's leading scorer, netted 15 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter as the Magic rallied from an 18-point deficit. He sank three free throws with 9.3 seconds left in regulation, sending the game to overtime. McGrady's only points of overtime were a 3-pointer that gave the Magic a 105-103 lead with 2:22 left. But James, the rookie sensation, scored in the lane 18 seconds later, then hit two free throws and a layup to give Cleveland a 109-105 lead with 61 seconds remaining. "Z (Ilgauskas) took over in the second half and I took over in overtime. That's what our team is about," James said. "He's incredible, really," said McGrady, who like James also entered the NBA out of high school. "The poise that he shows on the basketball court, nothing rattles him at all. He's got extremely high confidence and he's a real competitor. At the age of 19, that's scary." James collected 30 points and 11 rebounds and Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 28 points for the Cavaliers, who won for the fourth time in five games. "For the most part, we had the game," James said. "Then it got away from us at the end. They came back and were able to withstand the heat and make a run in overtime." James went 11-of-19 from the field while McGrady was just 11-of-32, including 3-of-12 from 3-point range. "Me and T-Mac are real good friends," James said. "Every time we come out, it's a friendly rivalry. He makes big shots for his team, I make big shots for my team." "I think the two of them inspire one and other and bring out the best in one another," Magic coach Johnny Davis said. Coming off Wednesday's 94-91 home overtime loss to Portland, Orlando made just 1-of-9 shots in the extra session. Ilgauskas was at his best in the third quarter, when he scored 16 points to help the Cavaliers open an 80-66 lead. He went 4-of-5 from the field and made all eight of his free throws in the period. A 3-pointer by Jason Kapono pushed the lead to 90-72 with 8:43 remaining. But the Magic used a 21-6 run, capped by McGrady's 3-pointer that cut the deficit to 96-93 with 3:02 to go. Carlos Boozer added 17 points and 16 rebounds and Jeff McInnis 16 and 10 assists for Cleveland, which pulled within 1 1/2 games of Miami and Toronto for the Eastern Conference's final playoff berth. "It would have been a devastating loss, had we lost," Cleveland coach Paul Silas said. "We didn't, so we go on." James, who scored just 11 points in Wednesday's loss at Houston, had 12 in the first quarter on 6-of-8 shooting to help Cleveland open a 30-25 lead. He had 19 points by halftime as the lead grew to 53-44. Juwan Howard and Drew Gooden each added 14 points for Orlando, which stayed in the game by forcing 21 turnovers.
