Game StoryINDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Minus Allen Iverson and Glenn Robinson, the Philadelphia 76ers had problems keeping up with the Indiana Pacers. Jermaine O'Neal collected 23 points and eight rebounds and Al Harrington added 21 and nine as the Pacers defeated the undermanned 76ers, 81-74, for their seventh win in nine games. Iverson (bruised right shoulder) and Robinson (strained right elbow) did not make the trip for Philadelphia, which fell to 0-3 against the Pacers this season. The Sixers trailed, 47-41, in the third quarter before the Pacers ran off nine straight points. Harrington, who had 11 points in the period, capped the burst with a layup that made it 56-41 with 2:32 left. Indiana took a 61-47 cushion into the fourth quarter. "This is by far Al Harrington's best game in the last three or four," Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said. "He brought great energy. The one thing Al did really well tonight was he ran the floor well on makes and misses. He was patient on offense, and we needed someone to step up offensively instead of Jermaine." "Playing 30-40 minutes is tough, but I really like it," said Harrington, who logged 37 minutes starting in place of the injured Ron Artest. "It gives me a lot of time to get into the game and do the things we practice in practice every day." Coming off Friday's loss at New Orleans, the Pacers, avoided suffering consecutive defeats for the first time since January 23-24. "I thought we played well for the most part," Carlisle said. "After a disappointing game, you want to get it out of your system." Kenny Thomas, who missed the Sixers' loss at Atlanta on Tuesday with a sprained right thumb, had 20 points and 11 rebounds. Samuel Dalembert added 15 and 13 for Philadelphia, which failed in a bid to move within a of Miami for the final Eastern Conference playoff berth. "It was a pretty long game today," Dalembert said. "We made a lot of mistakes and we had to try and cover up for them. But overall, I thought we played them tough and we just came up short in the end." "It's like they have nothing to lose," O'Neal said of the Sixers. "They came out and played extremely hard. Effort seemed to be higher than their normal starters bring. Tonight they dug and fought to make it resepectable."
