Game StoryCLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Rookie LeBron James is the Cleveland Cavaliers' best player, but Jeff McInnis may be their most valuable player. With McInnis sidelined with a bruised right shoulder, the Cavaliers were out of synch and had their season-high seven-game winning streak snapped with a 97-88 loss to the Utah Jazz. The Cavaliers are 17-8 with McInnis in the starting lineup since January 22, when the point guard was acquired from the Portland Trail Blazers for Darius Miles. "We did not fight hard enough," Cleveland coach Paul Silas said. "(Our offense) was not run nearly as well. You can't take a guy (McInnis) that's been running our offense as well as he has and look to run it smoothly. It did not run smoothly tonight. We need him." McInnis' arrival allowed James to move off the ball and to the wing, where he is even more effective. But without McInnis running the offense, an under the weather James scored just 14 points on 4-of-14 shooting. "(McInnis) is our playmaker," James said. "We've been rolling with our whole team and then to lose him, that really killed us. I had no energy tonight, especially in my legs." Journeyman Kevin Ollie started for McInnis and had six points and two assists in 33 minutes. The Cavaliers did not make a 3-pointer. Raja Bell scored 23 points off the bench on 10-of-16 shooting and Andrei Kirilenko collected 21 and eight assists for the Jazz, who shot 51 percent (37-of-73) from the floor. "(Raja's) been a super player for us all year long," Utah coach Jerry Sloan said. "He's given us some toughness (and) he's not afraid to take shots when he gets open." "He's one of the candidates for the Sixth Man of the Year," Kirilenko said. "He does a tremendous job for us." Cleveland trailed, 82-80, with 6:26 remaining before going almost six minutes without a basket as Utah closed the game on a 15-8 spurt. Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 24 points for Cleveland (31-37), which fell into a virtual tie with Miami for eighth place in the Eastern Conference. "Utah just played better than us," Ilgauskas said. "They wanted to win this game more than us so we're going to have to regroup. We were short-handed today." Utah (35-34) moved within one game of Denver for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.
