Game StoryHOUSTON (Ticker) -- Yao Ming had 25 points and 17 rebounds and altered Donyell Marshall's layup attempt in the final seconds of overtime as the Houston Rockets held on for a 90-89 victory over the Toronto Raptors. Yao was dominant despite foul trouble, making 9-of-20 shots from the floor and 7-of-7 free throws. The 7-5 center had only two blocks but made his biggest play of the night on the defensive end. Houston was clinging to a 90-89 lead after Maurice Taylor missed a jumper with 15 seconds left. Toronto could not get the ball to All-Star Vince Carter on its final possession and went to Marshall, who barely got a running layup from the right side of the lane over Yao and missed badly as time expired. Steve Francis had 17 points and nine assists and Cuttino Mobley also scored 17 points for the Rockets, who remained 3 1/2 games behind Dallas and Memphis for sixth place in the Western Conference. Carter finished with 26 points and a season-high 13 rebounds as the Raptors lost for 16th time in their last 21 games. Toronto (30-41) fell 1 1/2 games behind Cleveland for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East with 11 games to go.
