Game StoryDALLAS (Ticker) -- The Dallas Mavericks continued to put on an offensive clinic. Their latest pupils were the Seattle Supersonics. Michael Finley scored 24 points to lead six players in double figures as the high-scoring Mavericks rolled to their fifth straight win, a 118-108 victory over the SuperSonics. "Offensively, we've been distributing the ball, playing together, getting easy baskets and making the most of whatever offensive set coach puts us in," Finley said. "Each player complements the other." Using a small lineup that features Finley at forward and 6-9 Antoine Walker at center, Dallas has averaged 122.4 points per game during the winning streak. The Mavericks (49-28) climbed into a tie for fifth place in the Western Conference with the Memphis Grizzlies. "They are good at playing (small) ball," Seattle coach Nate McMillan said. "They have guys at four positions that they can isolate and they make you match up with them." Dallas took a 34-21 lead after one quarter behind 10 points from Dirk Nowitzki and rookie Marquis Daniels. A 3-pointer by Brent Barry with 10 minutes left to play cut Seattle's deficit to 93-88 before Dallas responded. The Mavericks exploded for 11 straight points, including nine from Finley, to take a 104-88 lead. The Sonics never challenged thereafter. "We really ought to continue to look at ourselves objectively and continue to be critical," said Dallas guard Steve Nash, who had 14 points and 14 assists. "That way we can get better and better and not take our foot off the gas here." Nowitzki finished with 23 points on 9-of-17 shooting and Daniels had 16 while playing 41 minutes. "Steve Nash has been playing his best basketball of the season," Seattle guard Brent Barry said. "That can only be good news for Dallas and bad news for opponents. These guys are playing so well right now, we just couldn't keep up with them." Nash has double-doubles in eight of his last 12 games and 27 this season. The Mavericks are 21-6 when he has a double-double. "Steve's incredible," Dallas coach Don Nelson said. "He's the best point guard I've ever coached." Ray Allen and Barry scored 20 points apiece for the Sonics, who fell to 0-3 against the Mavericks this season. Sonics forward Rashard Lewis did not play in the second half due to a pulled left groin. Lewis scored four points in 13 minutes.
