Game StoryDENVER (Ticker) -- The Seattle SuperSonics' high-scoring duo was enough to add to the Denver Nuggets' early season woes. Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen combined to score 57 points as the SuperSonics handed the Nuggets their third consecutive loss, 108-88. Denver scored the game's first five points, but Allen scored 16 of his 30 points in the first quarter and Lewis added eight in a 15-2 run that gave Seattle the lead for good and helped build a 29-21 advantage after 12 minutes. "Our main goal tonight was to go right after the Nuggets," Seattle coach Nate McMillan said. "This was a good win for us," Lewis said. "My shot felt good early on." Lewis scored six of his 27 points in a 10-2 spurt that pushed the lead to 46-30 with just under seven minutes left in the half. The Nuggets rallied behind Andre Miller, who scored six of Denver's next eight points and, when Earl Boykins hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer, Seattle's lead was 55-48. A jumper by Carmelo Anthony made it 57-52 with 10:22 left in the third quarter before Allen and Lewis provided all the offense in a 10-4 spurt that gave the Sonics a double-digit advantage. Allen and Lewis have scored at least 20 points apiece in each of the Sonics' four contests and entered the game as the second-highest scoring duo in the NBA with 47.6 points per game. "You have to give our big guys a lot of credit for getting them open," McMillan said. "If they get open looks, they're good enough to knock down their shots." Luke Ridnour was the beneficiary of the Allen and Lewis' hot shooting, recording 11 assists for Seattle, which has won three in a row after getting blown out by the Los Angeles Clippers in their season opener. "If you get it out in transition and find them, they're going to knock it in," Ridnour said. "They make it easy when you get in trouble and know you got have somebody out there like that." Anthony scored 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting for the Nuggets, which has lost by double-digits in each of its four losses. "It's getting ugly," Anthony said. "We've got to find a way to get through it." "Everybody is frustrated," Nuggets swingman Bryon Russell said. "We're a good team and good teams turn things around." Andre Miller added 18 for Denver before being ejected after an altercation with Seattle's Antonio Daniels with 4:19 to play. Miller did not speak to reporters after the game. "I took an offensive foul on him," Daniels said of the incident. "I stood up and I started walking away and he kept on saying a lot of expletives." Denver, which has lost five of its last seven matchup with Seattle, was outrebounded 45-29 and shot only 55 percent (12-of-22) from the free-throw line. "If you're in a funk like this, things don't go your way," Denver coach Jeff Bzdelik said. "The only way to get out of it is to keep battling and practicing and all of a sudden it will come one day."
