Game StorySACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- Brad Miller's scorching shooting enabled the Sacramento Kings to continue their home dominance of the Denver Nuggets. Miller scored 11 of his season-high 26 points in the third quarter as the Kings built a big lead and cruised to a 101-89 triumph over the Nuggets, who have lost 16 straight visits to ARCO Arena. Making both of his shots from the field and all six of his free throws in the quarter, Miller keyed a period in which Sacramento turned a five-point lead into a 77-63 advantage. The All-Star center made his last seven shots, finishing 7-of-8 from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers. He sank 10-of-11 from the line and grabbed nine rebounds. "We're most effective when everybody gets involved. Somebody can catch fire," Miller said. "Tonight I guess that was me." Included in Miller's hot stretch were 3-pointers that closed out the second and third quarters. "I think Brad will be asking us to draw up more 3-point shots for him now," Kings coach Rick Adelman quipped. Peja Stojakovic scored 22 points and Mike Bibby added 20 for the Kings, who have not lost at home to the Nuggets since January 7, 1997. Denver has gone just 9-33 in Sacramento since the Kings moved from Kansas City prior to the 1985-86 season. The contest kicked off a string of five straight home contests for Sacramento, which is 2-0 at home and 1-4 on the road this season. "I think (playing at home) is going to help out a lot," Bibby said. "Being on the road sometimes just gets to you, and playing five of your first six on the road is tough. In the home stretch, we'll be all right." After dropping four of their first five contests, the Kings have won consecutive games. Carmelo Anthony scored 28 points and reserve Rodney White chipped in 14 for the Nuggets (2-5), who failed to build on a home victory over defending NBA champion Detroit on Thursday. Denver played without their starting center Marcus Camby and his backup Nene as both players were sidelined with strained left hamstrings. "I'm not trying to make excuses, but we don't have our whole team yet," Anthony said. It's just tough finding the right combination." Neither team shot well in the first half as fatigue seemed to play a role. Denver shot just 34 percent (15-of-44) while Sacramento made only 39 percent (17-of-44) of its attempts. "We just have got to be able to put the ball in the the basket," Denver coach Jeff Bzdelik said. "Andre (Miller) and Earl (Boykins) really struggled from the floor (combining to go 3-for-22). When two of your core backcourt players are shooting that bad from the floor it's tough." Sacramento had lost the back end of its previous two back-to-back games this season. "It's good to get a back-to-back win like that," Adelman said. "We haven't played well on the second night." Kings forward Chris Webber, still recovering from last season's knee surgery, continued to struggle when playing on consecutive nights, going 5-for-11 from the floor for 10 points. He did have nine rebounds and five assists.
