Game StoryPORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Damon Stoudamire and Ruben Patterson kept the Milwaukee Bucks winless on the road. Stoudamire scored 33 points and Patterson fueled a fourth-quarter run with nine of his 11 points off the bench as the Portland Trail Blazers posted a 110-98 triumph over the Bucks, who have dropped all three of their road games this season. Coming off losses on both ends of a home-and-home series with the Miami Heat, including a double-overtime setback on the road, the Bucks stayed close in the first half and trailed, 47-46, at intermission. But after Desmond Mason's layup with 7:28 left in the third quarter gave Milwaukee a 62-52 lead, Portland closed the period with a 23-7 run, which included 10 points by Stoudamire. "I'm just gonna start being more aggressive," said Stoudamire, who was 9-of-21 from the field, including 6-of-12 from the arc. "Whether I make shots or miss them, we got plenty of guys who can go get the rebounds. I'm just not going to be a robot anymore." "We had them under control, but their pressure got to us and we didn't handle it well," Milwaukee coach Terry Porter said. "We got careless with the ball and we didn't get back and play defense." Stoudamire has reached double figures just three times in eight games this season. "I've said all along that we have to give Damon more opportunities," Portland coach Maurice Cheeks said. "As good as we are posting up inside, we've got to get our guards more offensive freedom." Patterson began a 19-5 spurt with a pair of short jumpers and put the finishing touches on it with two free throws with 5:22 remaining, giving the Trail Blazers a 94-76 advantage. "That's what I can do, bring energy," Patterson said. "You're never gonna get 12 guys who can play with that type of energy," Cheeks added. "Him and Darius (Miles) were great off the bench." Zach Randolph, who scored six points during the Trail Blazers' third-quarter run, added five during the surge in the fourth period. Randolph had 22 points and 18 rebounds and Miles gathered 10 boards for Portland, which had lost four of its previous five games. Michael Redd scored 29 points on 12-of-20 shooting for the Bucks, who began a four-game road trip. "As a team, we didn't stay in attack mode," Redd said. "This is a team that has to play all 48 minutes, especially on the road." Joe Smith had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Milwaukee before fouling out.
