Game StoryTORONTO (Ticker) -- Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen provided the 1-2 punch to keep the Seattle SuperSonics' winning streak alive. Lewis scored a season-high 27 points and Allen scored 24 as the SuperSonics won their ninth straight game, a 101-94 victory over the Toronto Raptors. "(We're) playing together as a team and playing hard," Lewis said. "Everybody is committed to their role and every night somebody else steps up and helps us win ballgames." Seattle (9-1) is off to its best start since winning its first 10 contests in 1993 and has its longest winning streak under coach Nate McMillan. "We're not even talking about the record," McMillan said. "We're not talking about the string of games or the streak. We're talking about what we need to do to win the next ballgame." "They've got a healthy balance of guys that understand what their roles are," Raptors guard Jalen Rose said. "And they're playing up to their ability." Coming off a season-low 79 points against New Jersey on Wednesday, the SuperSonics shot 24 percent (6-of-25) from the field in the first quarter and trailed, 24-19. Lewis scored 12 points in the third period, including a rare four-point play, as Seattle hit 6-of-8 from the arc and opened a 73-71 lead. Allen's three-point play gave Seattle its biggest lead, 94-82, with 3:26 remaining. Toronto got no closer than five points in the final minute. "People don't lay down on purpose just because you've won nine in a row," Allen said. "You've got to make them see how good you are." Vince Carter scored 21 points and Rafer Alston added 20 for Toronto (4-6), which has lost five in a row. "We are kind of in a slump right now," Carter said. "We just have to find our way. We surprised some teams early, but we will be all right." "We've taken a couple steps back," Raptors forward Chris Bosh said. "While we're at home, we need to take advantage. We've got to come out and act like it's our last game."
