Game StorySACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- Needing a spark in the final period, the Sacramento Kings turned to their sixth man. Bobby Jackson scored 10 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter as the Kings finished a perfect homestand with a 102-96 victory over the Houston Rockets. After two baskets by Yao Ming gave the Rockets an 83-80 lead with nine minutes remaining, Jackson hit two straight 3-pointers to give Sacramento the lead for good with 7:52 left. Jackson made another from the arc to make it 93-89 with 5:50 to play, but the Rockets cut the deficit to 96-95 on a layup by Tyronn Lue with three minutes to go. Houston did not make another shot down the stretch and Sacramento made its free throws to seal its sixth consecutive win. After an abdominal injury forced Jackson to miss the playoffs in 2003-04, the veteran guard had admitted in a newspaper report Tuesday that he had not played well this season. That all changed in the fourth quarter against the Rockets. "I think this is the very first night since the season started that I've come in and been the old Bobby Jackson from before I got hurt," he said. Peja Stojakovic scored 22 points to lead seven Kings in double figures. Darius Songaila added 10 off the bench on 4-of-5 shooting for the Kings, who have won 7-of-8 since an 0-3 start. Kings coach Rick Adelman was impressed with the play of his reserves. "Obviously, it was good to see (Jackson) get going and Darius was great," Adelman said. Jackson made 7-of-14 shots from the field and grabbed eight rebounds - five on the offensive end. He put behind him a dismal two-point performance Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks. "I'm a competitor and I know I can do better," Jackson said. "Hopefully I can keep up the pace. I felt good tonight and let my game come to me." Yao scored 29 points, but committed two crucial turnovers in the final three minutes. With Houston trailing, 96-95, Yao committed a traveling violation with 2:38 remaining. The Rockets were within 99-96 with 46 seconds left when Yao traveled again. "I was focusing on attacking, but I lost sight of stuff and gave the ball up in the last two minutes," Yao said. Houston had one last chance when Chris Webber missed a jumper with 24 seconds to play, but Mike Bibby ran down the offensive rebound, forcing Lue to immediately foul Bibby, who made both free throws. "The game was definitely there to be won," said Lue, who started in place of the injured Charlie Ward. "We turned the ball over down the stretch and it hurt us not getting shots at the basket." Tracy McGrady had 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Rockets, who have lost 11 in a row in Sacramento.
