Game StoryPORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Allen Iverson may not have scored 40 points, but he still managed to take over when the game was on the line. Iverson scored 21 of his 28 points in the second half as the Philadelphia 76ers rallied for a 111-104 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Seeking his fourth straight 40-point performance, Iverson got off to a sluggish start, making just 2-of-12 shots in the first half. But Philadelphia was able to turn 10 Portland turnovers into 16 points and was within 60-54 at the break. "It was a game where tonight I wasn't having a big game and the other guys did a great job," said Iverson, who was a game-time decision with a sore right index finger. "I'm not the perfect point guard. I'm not John Stockton or Magic Johnson. I take what the defense gives me." Darius Miles scored seven points in the first two minutes of the third quarter to give the Trail Blazers their biggest lead, 67-56, but Iverson got Philadelphia going with a 15-foot jumper. He scored five more points in a 16-4 run that put the Sixers ahead, 72-71, with 4:43 left. The teams traded the lead until Philadelphia moved ahead for good midway through the fourth with a 9-0 burst. After Damon Stoudamire hit a runner with 7:20 to play to give Portland an 89-86 edge, Iverson hit back-to-back jumpers to give Philadelphia the lead one minute later. Marc Jackson added a three-point play before rookie Andre Iguodala capped the run with a breakaway dunk that gave the Sixers a 95-89 advantage with 5 1/2 minutes left. "Andre was terrific and he played very tough-minded basketball," Philadelphia coach Jim O'Brien said. "We're throwing a lot of things at him and he's playing a lot of minutes as a rookie. He's handling it very well and we're not even at the halfway point yet." Iguodala had 22 points and 10 rebounds for Philadelphia, which improved to 2-0 on its current eight-game road trip. "It was a terrific win for our team," O'Brien said. "We continue to do what is necessary, keep it close on the road and try to pull it out in the fourth quarter." Jackson and fellow reserve Kyle Korver were key factors in the Sixers' fourth-quarter rally, combining for 17 points in the final period. Korver hit a clutch 3-pointer that made it 105-96 with 1:55 to play. "Those are the shots I want to take and I'm supposed to take and that's the way it's been," said Korver, who was 4-of-8 from the arc. "I've always enjoyed the fourth quarter and that's my time to step up." Miles scored a season-high 28 points, but added just two in the final period. He also missed a dunk and two critical free throws in the final 2:20 to halt the Blazers' rally. Zach Randolph had 25 points and nine rebounds for Portland, which lost in its first game at home after winning three of four to close its six-game road trip. "It's real disappointing coming home from a good road trip," Randolph said. "We let up and they came back and hit some shots. We couldn't execute on the other end."
