Game StoryATLANTA (Ticker) -- Another big night by Mike Bibby lifted the Sacramento Kings to another road win. Bibby scored 14 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter as the Kings posted their ninth win in their last 12 road games, a 100-97 victory over the hapless Atlanta Hawks. After scoring a season-high 32 points at Toronto on Wednesday, Bibby continued his solid play by hitting several big shots in the final period, including a jumper over Antoine Walker with 12 seconds left to give Sacramento a 99-95 lead. Bibby also recorded six assists, six rebounds and a season-best six steals. "He was terrific," Kings coach Rick Adelman said. "My only concern was if he was going to have anything left. (Tyronn) Lue ran with him and made him work. I was concerned about what he was going to be like down the stretch, but he made a couple of shots to put us up four." Bibby, who played 44 minutes, dismissed any question of fatigue. "I'd rather be playing than sitting on the bench," said Bibby, who was 5-for-8 from the field and collected five rebounds in the crucial fourth quarter. "We were trying to get a win. That's it." Chris Webber rebounded from a 6-of-21 performance against the Raptors by scoring 28 points, including a shot at the third-quarter buzzer for a 79-77 lead. However, he was not a big factor in the paint, where the Hawks outscored the Kings, 66-34. "Our effort defensively has to be better," Webber said. "I think it will be. It was our third game of three games in four nights, so we were pretty tired." "We're really basically a jump-shooting team," Adelman added. "Chris is really our only inside shooter. One thing we talked about was to make (Atlanta) a jump-shot team. There were too many layups in the open court. It's basically lack of concentration." But the Hawks deviated from their game plan late, settling for long jump shots, instead of pushing the ball inside, infuriating coach Mike Woodson. "They were packing it in," Woodson said. "We were in the penalty about the five- or six-minute mark (of the fourth quarter). Antoine takes a three and then Lue (missed another). And we settled. Instead of putting the pressure on the officials to make the call, we just settle. I thought those two shots were huge for us in the stretch." Walker's 3-pointer with 4:54 left tied the game at 91-91. But he missed on later attempts from the arc and struggled at the line down the stretch, missing all five of his attempts. Besides poor shot selection, it also was mental lapses at the end of the second and third quarters that helped seal Atlanta's fate. In the second, the Hawks allowed the Kings to score seven points in the final minute and take a 53-47 advantage at the half. In the third, the Hawks squandered a 77-71 lead in the latter stages as the Kings scored eight unanswered points to take a 79-77 lead into the fourth quarter. "We're playing well enough to win games, and we have a mental lapse at the end of quarters," said Walker, who scored 21 points. "We're killing ourselves in not getting leads and coming up on the short end of the stick late in the game. Whatever the situation may be, we're coming up short a little bit." Al Harrington scored 22 points for Atlanta, which has lost six straight.
