Game StoryMILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Mike James hit a driving layup with 20 seconds remaining to complete a fourth-quarter comeback and lift the Milwaukee Bucks to an 89-86 victory over the reeling Utah Jazz. Utah has lost nine straight games, its longest slide since the 1981-1982 season. Milwaukee has won three in a row, matching a season high. Michael Redd scored 10 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter. But it was James who stepped up when the Bucks needed it most. "We really had to grind it out," Redd said. "But Mike James made the play down the stretch." Trailing 67-58 after three quarters, the Bucks chipped away and took their first lead since the opening period when Marcus Fizer drove the lane for a dunk and an 82-81 edge with 2:41 remaining. "I was just happy to have the opportunity to make some baskets and get some stops down the stretch," Fizer said. Gordan Giricek answered with a runner 26 seconds later that put Utah back on top, 83-82. Milwaukee took an 85-83 lead after free throws by Fizer and Zaza Pachulia before Keith McLeod buried a 3-pointer with 35 seconds left, giving the Jazz their final advantage, 86-85. "Keith's shot was a big one for us," Jazz forward Carlos Boozer said. "I thought we were going to run away with it and make some big stops. But it just didn't happen." James made a running lefthanded shot off the glass to give the Bucks the lead. McLeod missed a jumper and Boozer committed a foul on the rebound. Redd sank a pair of free throws with five seconds remaining. Giricek and Matt Harpring missed 3-pointers in the final seconds for Utah. "We got the contributions at both ends of the floor we needed to pull this game out," Bucks coach Terry Porter said "We competed hard and gave ourselves a chance," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. "But we just kind of self-destructed in the fourth. This is a young team that was expected to win, as opposed to last season." James scored 20 points and Fizer added 12 for Milwaukee. Boozer scored 28 points and McLeod and Howard Eisley added 15 apiece for Utah. "I really feel like this season started off slow," Redd said. "But it's going to end up being a heck of a ride."
