Game StoryCHICAGO (Ticker) -- Making the most of a rare start, Othella Harrington helped the Chicago Bulls to another win. Playing in place of an injured Antonio Davis, Harrington matched a season high with 19 points and Kirk Hinrich tied a career high with 14 assists as the Bulls posted a 102-91 victory over the Boston Celtics. Chicago improved to 17-4 vs. Boston at the United Center and won for the 13th time in 22 games since an 0-9 start. "We want to make a home here and make it tough for other teams to come in here and get a win," Hinrich said. "We are starting to be pretty resilient on our home floor." Once Davis was scratched with a hip pointer, Harrington was called on to make his first start since November 6. He responded by making 9-of-12 shots, grabbing a season-high 10 rebounds and hitting a pair of big shots down the stretch. "I just tried to take my shot," Harrington said. "Every day I just work on my moves and my shots, and today they just went in." After the Celtics got within 91-81 with 6:52 left, Harrington took a feed from Hinrich and hit a 15-footer. Boston trimmed the advantage to 93-84 less than two minutes later but Harrington again answered with a short jumper. "It was an excellent team win, but Kirk did an excellent job of hitting his shots and finding everyone," Harrington said. While Harrington's offensive effort equaled his output in the Bulls' opener November 5, he was more proud of his work on the boards. "Definitely I worked on that, (Davis) does so much for us inside," Harrington said. "I just went in there and did as much as I could." Hinrich, who scored 15 of his 22 points after halftime, had his second 14-assist performance against Boston, matching an effort at home last season. "Everything was just clicking, guys were open and it was easy to find them," Hinrich said. Hinrich scored five points during a 16-3 run to close the first half, capping the burst with a layup at the buzzer. The surge gave Chicago a 58-52 lead at the break. Rookie Luol Deng added 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Bulls, who had a team season-high 32 assists against 13 turnovers. Paul Pierce scored 20 points for the Celtics and rookie Tony Allen added 14 in his first NBA game in his hometown. "Chicago played the game the right way," Boston coach Doc Rivers said. "They moved the ball and played defense. Someday I hope we do that in Boston. That's my speech." The Celtics got a career-high eight assists from Marcus Banks and a career-best five blocked shots by Kendrick Perkins. But they made just one 3-pointer and two free throws in the second half and fell for the sixth time in nine games.
