Game StorySEATTLE (Ticker) -- Despite a stellar effort from LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers were unable to beat the Seattle SuperSonics for a third straight time at KeyArena. Ray Allen scored 27 points, reserve Vladimir Radmanovic added 23 and Luke Ridnour chipped in a career-high 18 as the SuperSonics edged the Cavaliers, 105-97. "We won this game and definitely are happy with the win, but we didn't play well," Sonics coach Nate McMillan said. "To have 23 turnovers and still be in the game, you've got to be lucky to win the game. We've got to do a better job of taking care of the ball. I don't know how we were even close." James contributed 35 points, 11 assists and four steals for Cleveland, which slipped to 1-2 on a season-high six-game road trip. The Cavaliers had won three in a row in the series, including their last two meetings here. After James opened the fourth quarter with a jumper to give Cleveland a 77-76 edge, Seattle went on a 10-2 run to take the lead for good. The Sonics built an 86-79 advantage on a finger roll by Danny Fortson with eight minutes to play. "We got stagnant and we stopped running and they made some shots," said James after the Cavaliers shot just 7-of-22 in the final quarter. "They got a great contribution off the bench and they outrebounded us by almost 20 rebounds (50-31), and that was pretty much the game." Cleveland pulled within 94-91 on a 3-pointer by James with 1:28 left but Allen countered with a shot from the arc and Ridnour went 6-of-6 from the line in the final 30 seconds to ice it. "They've got a great floor general in Luke Ridnour, and they just feed off him and everybody gets their shots," James said. Ridnour shrugged off his late-game heroics, which saw him score eight points and dish out three assists in the final quarter. "As a point guard you want the ball late in the game," he said. "You just feel you can hit free throws and make plays. It's something you look forward to, but it was a huge team win for us." Allen did not have a field goal in the third period but went 3-of-5 in the fourth quarter, including his big 3-pointer with 1:12 remaining. "The fourth quarter is my time, I feel," Allen said. "Whether I make the shot or not, I'm going to do something. I'm going to be heard or seen in the fourth quarter and have some type of imprint on the game. That's just how I've always played." Seattle, which posted its fourth win in five games, played its second straight contest without forward Rashard Lewis, who is suffering from left knee tendinitis. "With Rashard out, it's double time," Allen said. "With him out we use a lot of pick-and-rolls. With Rashard out they say, 'Double-team Allen, don't let him shoot the ball - make the other guys beat us.' "But with Luke, Antonio Danlels, Vlade, and even Flip (Ronald Murray) getting aggressive, it gives us another dimension that other teams didn't think we had." The SuperSonics made 29-of-32 free throws and 10-of-22 3-pointers. The Cavaliers were 24-of-33 from the line and 3-of-13 from the arc.
