Game StoryMINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Kevin Garnett put the Minnesota Timberwolves on his shoulders once again. Garnett scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help the Timberwolves rally from a 16-point deficit to defeat the Utah Jazz, 93-91. The Timberwolves completed their biggest comeback of the campaign and extended their winning streak to a season-high five games. "They want to make the game physical," Garnett said. "When we got aggressive, they didn't like it. We got into passing lanes ... got some steals, dished it out, got a little tougher. We said we have to be as tough as they are right now." Trailing 64-48 midway through the third period, Minnesota closed the quarter with a 16-4 run capped by consecutive baskets by Troy Hudson, cutting the deficit to 68-64. Early in the fourth quarter, the Timberwolves got six straight points from Garnett and a 3-pointer by Sam Cassell during another 16-4 run that opened an 80-74 lead with 6:46 remaining. A layup by Raul Lopez allowed the Jazz to regain the lead at 85-83 with 2:36 left. But Minnesota went on top for good on a jumper by Fred Hoiberg and a follow dunk by Eddie Griffin with 1:47 remaining. "That was a good gut-check," Minnesota coach Flip Saunders said. "Freddie hit big shots and had a big steal underneath. KG did what KG does. Being down 16, this is a good win, especially in a streak situation." "They executed. They got good shots," Jazz forward Matt Harpring said. "I didn't feel like we really got a solid shot down the stretch. You could see the momentum change and we didn't step up to try to stop it." Cassell came off the bench to score 16 points while Hoiberg and Wally Szczerbiak added 11 each for Minnesota, which has won seven of nine. "It shows we've really improved over the last couple of weeks," Hudson said. "Three or four weeks ago, we probably would have been beaten by 25 points in a game like this. That shows where we've come from and where we're headed." Lopez and Andrei Kirilenko scored 14 points apiece for Utah, which lost for the fifth time in seven outings. "All of our players seemed to drop their head a little bit when things started to get a little tough for them," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. "They did a great job of getting the ball where they wanted to go, then making the shots they missed earlier."
