Game StoryINDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Despite absorbing some punishment from coach Rick Carlisle, Stephen Jackson managed to make the most of his abbreviated playing time. Jackson scored 22 points to lead the team in scoring for the seventh time in eight games as the Indiana Pacers recorded a 101-83 victory over the Golden State Warriors. The Pacers (31-30) moved one game above .500 and tied Orlando for seventh place in the Eastern Conference, 1 1/2 games ahead of Philadelphia. Indiana has not missed the postseason since 1997. Jackson, who was benched for the first nine minutes for missing Friday's shootaround, scored seven points during a 16-2 run that opened the second quarter, giving Indiana a 46-22 edge. "I had no problem with it," Jackson said. "I wanted to come out and contribute the way I do when I start. I overslept and missed practice this morning and this was my punishment. I respect coach's decision and I had no problem with coming off the bench." "He came right in and hit a couple of big shots." Carlisle said. "That helps your bench. He really got them juiced." Reggie Miller got off to a great start by scoring 11 of Indiana's first 19 points and finished with 19. He made six free throws to extend his current streak to 51, one shy of his franchise record. Jeff Foster scored 14 points and grabbed 17 rebounds and Anthony Johnson scored 10 for the Pacers, who forced 20 turnovers and committed just seven, their second-lowest total this season. Dale Davis, who spent nine seasons with the Pacers from 1991-2000, scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds in his first home game since Golden State traded him to New Orleans on February 24. He was waived by the Hornets on March 1 and signed by the Pacers. "It's great to be back," Davis said "It's like I never left. This team has been through a lot this season and they are showing great character by getting all 12 guys to step it up each night. The next two weeks are going to be critical." Mike Dunleavy Jr. scored 18 points and Baron Davis added 14 for the Warriors, who are 3-4 on their eight-game, 12-day road trip, their longest in 30 years. "Of all the games on this road trip, you would have thought we would have played this team pretty close," Dunleavy said. "With all of the injuries and other problems they've had ... we still couldn't get a rhythm going. Tonight was the first time we struggled on this trip."
